This policy explains what personal information Routes to the Wild collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the website only.

Who we are

Routes to the Wild is a mobile forest school providing nature-based outdoor education across Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and surrounding areas. For anything relating to your data, contact us at info@routestothewild.co.uk. We are the "data controller" for the information described below.

The information we collect

When you contact us

If you use the contact form, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, the location or postcode you enter, the type of session you select, and your message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and to arrange sessions.

Analytics (only if you accept cookies)

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated information about how the site is used — such as the pages visited, time spent, approximate location (region/country) and the type of device and browser. We use this to understand what's useful and improve the site. If you reject cookies, no analytics data is collected.

Our legal basis

Cookies & similar technologies

When you first visit, we ask whether you'll accept analytics cookies. Nothing non-essential is set until you choose "Accept". You can change your mind any time using Cookie settings.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal data. We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site:

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and then delete them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard settings.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email info@routestothewild.co.uk.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children

This website is intended for adults — parents, carers and schools arranging sessions. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
